The development
Elgato’s Studio 2.0 article, updated September 3, 2026, describes a public beta with a rebuilt Voice Sync engine, an adjustable sensitivity control, and a script editor usable without connected Prompter hardware. The update date is not treated here as proof of the product’s first release date. [1]
Let cues support an explanation
Our rehearsal interpretation is that flexible prompting can make prepared speech easier to practice. Start with a short script if that helps organize the answer, then replace sentences with cues. Test whether you can stop, answer a follow-up, and return to the main point without searching for your exact place in the text.
Use the sensitivity and display controls to reduce friction in a prepared presentation, but judge the exercise by the explanation you can give. Rehearse without the display before deciding you have mastered the material. Speech recognition can follow words; it cannot establish that the words reflect your own experience. A useful prompting setup supports memory while leaving enough attention for listening, deciding what the next question needs, and speaking in a way the other person can follow.
