The development

This October 1, 2026 notebook is an editorial reflection, not a report of a new October launch. Its reference point is Elgato’s September-updated Studio 2.0 beta description, which separates script editing, speech-following scrolling, and presentation controls. Those are useful distinctions when planning a practice setup. [1]

Start with the problem you need to solve

A teleprompter supports reading prepared material. A conversational assistant can supply questions and follow-ups. A human coach can discuss how your explanation lands in the context of your goals. These roles can overlap in a rehearsal, but they are not interchangeable. Decide whether your immediate problem is recall, answer structure, subject knowledge, or speaking under pressure.

Choose an exercise that targets that problem and define the result you will observe. If you lose the thread, rehearse transitions from cue words. If your examples lack evidence, return to project notes. If you struggle with follow-ups, practice an interrupted conversation. The archive’s developments suggest more options for supporting these tasks, not one universal tool. Build a routine that helps you explain your own work clearly, and change the tool only when it addresses a specific limitation you have observed.
