Anthropic announced the Claude 3 family on March 4, 2024, with Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus. The announcement described improvements across cognitive tasks and introduced image understanding. Opus and Sonnet were available at announcement; Haiku was to follow. [1]
Challenge the story before polishing it
A useful mock interviewer does more than tidy your wording. It asks why you made a decision, what alternatives you considered, and which part of the result came from your actions. Our interpretation of this release is that stronger models offered more room to experiment with that kind of questioning; benchmark gains alone did not prove better interview coaching.
Give the assistant a real project summary and request skeptical follow-ups. Answer aloud before reading suggested language. If you cannot explain a trade-off simply, return to the project notes. This keeps the exercise grounded in your experience and helps avoid learning a script that falls apart when the interviewer changes direction. A human coach can then focus on whether your explanation is understandable and relevant to the role.
