The development

Google’s May 19, 2026 I/O keynote described an agentic Gemini era and announced Gemini 3.5 and other product developments. The keynote also discussed an initial Gemini Spark rollout to trusted testers, with beta access planned for eligible users. [1]

Ask about the workflow, not the slogan

Our interview takeaway is to turn broad AI news into a specific research question. Which tasks in the target role are likely to be supported by tools, and which decisions still require the team’s judgment? Use public company material to form a hypothesis, then ask the interviewer how the workflow actually operates. Do not present an industry announcement as proof of that employer’s internal practices.

Prepare an example of how you learned a tool, checked its output, and adapted a process. Keep the story focused on a business or engineering need rather than a list of products. This lets you discuss AI fluency through concrete work. It also leaves room for the interviewer to explain constraints you could not learn from public sources. The aim is a useful conversation about the role, with honest distinctions between verified research and your interpretation.
