The development
Anthropic introduced the Model Context Protocol on November 25, 2024, as an open standard for connecting AI assistants with data sources and tools. The initial components included a specification, SDKs, local Claude Desktop support, and example servers. [1]
Relevant evidence beats a generic persona
The coaching connection is our analysis. An assistant can offer more specific practice when it has the notes you intend to use: a role brief, your project summary, and the questions you struggled with. That does not mean it needs access to every account or document. A deliberately selected preparation packet is often enough for the exercise.
Create a small set of source notes that distinguishes verified facts from draft language. Ask the assistant to identify which note supports each suggested claim. If it cannot point to evidence, remove the claim or investigate it yourself. This approach works even without an MCP integration; the announcement is a useful milestone in the broader move toward context-aware assistance. The objective is a grounded conversation about your experience, rather than a larger collection of automatically connected information.
