The development
Google introduced Personal Intelligence on January 14, 2026, as a beta that could connect Gemini with selected Google apps for personalized assistance. The initial availability described in the announcement covered eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the United States. [1]
Choose the context for the exercise
Our interview takeaway is to decide what a practice partner needs to know before supplying it. A role description, a summary of your experience, and a few project notes can make a rehearsal specific. Broader personal context is not automatically better context. Separate information relevant to the target role from material that merely happens to be available.
Build a preparation packet with clear labels: confirmed facts, possible examples, and questions to investigate. Ask the assistant to suggest an exercise from that packet, then check that its assumptions match your goals. You can do this manually without enabling a connected feature. The announcement matters as a milestone in personalized AI, but the coaching task remains the same: use context to create a more useful question and a clearer next attempt.
