The development

Google’s July 1, 2026 roundup reports June’s launch of Gemini 3.5 Live Translate, a speech-to-speech translation model rolling out across listed Google services. The roundup describes near-real-time multilingual conversations. This article covers the event month rather than the roundup’s publication month. [1]

Keep the meaning when the language changes

Our interview application is multilingual rehearsal. Choose a project story whose details you know well, then explain it in the language you expect to use. A translation tool may help reveal vocabulary gaps, but a fluent translation does not show whether you can handle an unexpected follow-up. Practice the interaction as well as the prepared introduction.

Keep a short glossary of terms that matter to your role and check that their meanings survive translation. Then answer a question with simple language before trying a more specialized formulation. Avoid making the exercise a contest to sound native; focus on being understandable and precise. If translation or assistance would be used in an actual interview, discuss permitted arrangements with the interviewer. The training goal here is to strengthen your own explanation and identify where language gets in its way.
